Sunday, rainy sunday...

Today is grey and rainy, so I decided that napping would be my activity of choice today. Mom doesn't blame me one bit and said she might even come and join me on the couch for a nap. We haven't even had any birds at the feeder today! We can't blame them for not wanting to come visit us with this weather. Here I am napping on the couch with my blanky!

Rattie sitting!

Mom got to rattiesit Auntie's little furkids over the weekend. She just loves them to pieces because she claims that they're "just so darn adorable". Anyway, she had a great time with us little creatures this weekend. A few pics...

Unconditional love

Special bond...

"They will not go quietly, the cats who've shared our lives.

In subtle ways they let us know their spirit still survive.

Old habits still make us think we hear a meow at the door.

Or step back when we drop a tasty morsel on the floor.

Our feet still go around the place the food dish used to be,

And, sometimes, coming home at night,we miss them terribly.

And although time may bring new friends and a new food dish to fill,

That one place in our hearts belongs to them....and always will."

AGAIN?!??!

Mom was reading our local newspaper this morning, and there was an announcement from the local animal shelter again saying that they are out of canned cat food... AGAIN!! Mom said this time she really feels like getting the help of her friends and family to donate some canned cat food. We both think the situation is very very very sad.

To make matters worse, Mom is a sucker for animal organizations. Here is a list of organizations who contact us on an almost weekly basis (to name a few):

-Peta
-Humaine Society International
-WSPA (World Society for the Protection of Animals)
-IFAW (International Fund for Animal Welfare)

If we had more money, we would do more, but my food is expensive and Mom is still a student. : (

Local animal shelters

Mom heard on the radio this morning about our local animal shelter being in desperate need for canned cat food, as there is NONE left on the shelves!!! Can you imagine???? So Mom and I decided that we will donate several cans after our next visit to the grocery store. Such a sad situation. :(
