Mom's leaving me....

So Mom told me she will be away for a week. I have been really cuddly and loveable lately (mainly because she's been home more than usual lately), so she thinks I may take it kinda hard. Nonetheless, she did reassure me that Auntie will be coming around to give me lots of care and attention (like she always does). I guess that makes me feel a little better, but I'm still not impressed. She told me she's going to miss me like crazy. Yeah... right!! Talk to the paw Mom!!!

The Persian cat is a laid back and lovable loafer who enjoys nothing more than to be pampered and petted and the Himalayan variety of the breed is no exception. Known for their docile and laid back temperaments, they do very well with other cats and animals. Generally a very lazy cat, the Himalayan Persian is not much of a climber, nor one that is prone to getting into mischief.

The Persian breed is the supermodel of the cat world and, as such, requires a lot of primping and pampering to look her best. If you’re interested in one of these cats, be forewarned that they are high-maintenance - there is no other way to describe caring for the Persian cat, Himalayan or no.

Sunday afternoon happenings

Today was a pretty "busy" day for me! I looked over Mom's notes most of the day, but when that got to be too much (because the material was VERY boring), I took a nap. Mom says she wishes she could have done the same, and even envied me while watching me, but she had too much work to do.

Virtual Cat Show!

Mom's in exams right now, and she SHOULD be studying, but instead, she decided to enroll me in a few virtual cat shows through CatChannel.com. Mom has placed me in a few categories including:

• Fluffiest tail
• Best coat
• Cutest, and
• Best smile

She almost went overboard and put me in the "most colourful" category, but I had to remind her that I'm completely colourless!!! (Because I'm WHITE!)

Hope we win a prize! :) Mom reassured me that even if we don't win, I am still the cutest kitty out in North America!!! ;) I think I have a good chance though because most cats entered aren't even pedigree cats like me!! (Mind you, I'm a geriatric pedigree. Nonetheless...) :P

New kitty profile!!

Good morning everyone!

I have created a new profile on an online kitty site called "catchannel". It is affiliated with a magazine in which Mom used to subscribe to when she was a child called "Cat Fancy". Now that she has a kitty of her own (ME!!), she wanted to flaunt me to the world. There is also a contest going on to have pictures of kitties in a calendar, and Mom will be submitting some of me. If you have any votes on pictures, let me or Mom know!!!

It only took 13 years, but...

...Mom FINALLY bought me a REAL bed!!! She also got me a surprise today! (A crinkle bag!!) Actually, Mom bought me a real bed when I was a baby, but I was too active back then to enjoy it (actually, I HATED it.) But now that I'm a geriatric kitty, Mom thinks it might be best for me as far as accessibility and comfort.
