Well, Mom's going away...

First of all, Mom wanted me to mention to you all that she received her "Not your average cat lady" tshirt in the mail! She was hysterical! Well, not quite hysterical, but very happy. Wonderful.

Now for the very sad news. Mom's going away to the land of swaying palm trees for a week during March break. I wish Auntie Linda was taking care of me, but she has to doggysit. Mom did luckily manage to get our nice neighbour to come take care of me, and she even told Mom that she would even stick around a little longer to give me some cuddles! So I'm pretty sure I'll be in good hands, but Mom and I both know that nobody beats Auntie! Oh well..

I hope Mom brings me back a treat! She said she will sure miss me...

Taking over!

I made Mom laugh again. We did our usual bedtime routine - she put me down on my blankie at the bottom left side of the bed then she went to brush her teeth and stuff. Anyway, normally that gives me enough time to fall asleep on my blankie, then it's lights out. Well not last night! Here I was when she got back from brushing her teeth:

On her pillow!

Claiming my spot!

But then what happened?? As she was going into the livingroom to put away the camera, guess where I went!!!! I wanted to play hide & seek with her! And of course, she had to take a pic of this too. (And yup, she realizes that she likes pancake pillows.. at least that's what Grandma calls them because they're so thin. MOL)

Mom's 'Martha Stewart' title has been reinstated!

Mom went out snowshoeing this afternoon after a long weekend of working on a presentation for today (that went very well by the way). Anyway, apparently her little plastic heel clasp decided to kick the bucket in knee deep snow. (So her boot kept slipping out). At first she wasn't quite sure what to do. But what came to the rescue??? Your everyday run-of-the-mill hair elastic!!! So that held Mom over until she made it back to the main trail. Talk about Martha Stewart!!! I wish I could have been there! Mom says it would have been quite the laugh for an onlooker. Other than that, she didn't find anything exciting.. a dozen crows and a cute little squirrel frolicking around.

Mom's errrr.. Martha's fix. :)

My morning walk

Well, I made Mom laugh this morning!! We were in bed, and all of a sudden I decided to do some laps on the bed by circling her. MOL!!! I even went up on top of the pillows! (Mom says that was the funniest part!) I guess I felt like exercising this morning. >^^<

Ah ha!!!

Mom found this in an article on my other blogging site! There's a reason why Mom has a hard time getting me to exercise! Blame it on the genes baby! We Persians just don't DO exercise!

"Breeds that are very active, such as Abyssinians, won't ever become calm lap kitties, and breeds that are laid back, such as Persians will never become play monsters. Activity levels are characteristics that can't be changed"
