Mom thinks she's ready to lose it.

It's Monday night, 12:53 AM, and our downstairs neighbour decided to throw a party tonight. They have been loud since suppertime! We decided to try to go to bed anyway, but it is impossible through the ruckous. Anyway, Mom decided to go check to make sure it is indeed coming from downstairs, and would you believe she just had to step outside the door to know?? Sooo, guess who will be complaining to our landlords again tomorrow morning! This is the 2nd time Mom complains about them, so hopefully something will get done this time?? Honestly, who throws parties on a Monday night??? Mom says they're just asking for it!

This reminds me. Mom and Auntie J-J decided to retreat to the country this weekend (since Grandma is still away until May). Anyway, they claim that it was nice and peaceful. Mom says it was nice to wake up to birds chirping instead of babies screaming. Also, Auntie J-J lives in a building too, so she thought it was nice and peaceful to sleep as well. I had a good time with Auntie Linda while Mom was away. I'm thankful for the food since she forgot to feed me before she left!! Can you imagine!!

Mom was supposed to go on an outing called the "Owl Prowl" on Saturday night, but she opted for the getaway weekend instead. Anyway, when she got back, she decided to go for a walk through the park in our backyard to see what she could find. She attracted about a dozen Chickadees, and she heard something else, but she didn't get to see what it was despite trying to find whatever it was (a deep trill sound). It was nice because she said she didn't encounter a single person (just the way she likes it), so she stayed with the Chickadees for a good while to watch them fly around and listen to their beautiful chatter. MOL..

Feeling yucky..

Mom's a little worried about me right now. I threw up in the middle of the night, and I wasn't really interested in breakfast this morning. I had a bit of the crunchy stuff, but I didn't ask Mom for the wet stuff. After that, I went right back to sleep. She thinks everything is ok though because I didn't throw up again, and I gobbled up my favourite treats! Also, Mom went to get me one of my favourite "human" treats for supper - chicken!! (white meat only, please.) to help me feel better. And I enjoyed that. Now the only thing that Mom isn't so sure about is that I haven't peed yet today (which isn't completely unusual..)! And just a little while ago, I "dug" the floor and sat as if I was going to pee on the carpet (which made Mom's heart skip a beat, and is a bit on the unusual side), but I just layed there. I'm not showing any signs of pain (which I would if it was a urinary infection), so Mom's going to keep an eye on me to make sure I go to the bathroom. She has been giving me lots of water, so maybe I'll feel like going later. Right now, I'm just resting with my blanky. Hope I feel better soon! If not, it may mean a vet visit. No, not the "v" word!!!!

Mom's back!!! Yippeee!!!

Mom's back from her trip, and I am VERY happy! Our neighbour took good care of me which is good because Mom had a dream while she was away that she came home and I was completely neglected. Anyway, our neighbour came over for a few minutes today because we had a little something for her, and she told Mom that I was fine for the first couple days or so, then I started to meow quite a bit, I didn't eat as much, and I looked depressed! Mom feels awful and had a feeling that would happen because I'm not used to Angela. But I know she missed me a whole lot too. She almost drove Grandma nuts because she kept asking: "What do you think Fluffy is doing now?" Of course Grandma's answer was always the same: "What do you think he's doing? He's either eating or sleeping!"

Anyway, Mom knew I missed her too because I meowed, purred, and was extremely cuddly from the time she got home until late this morning!! In other words, allowing her a full night's sleep was out of the question last night. I have never been THIS happy to see her.

Oh yeah, guess what... Mom broke my water fountain!! It happened right before she left. Anyway, she emailed Hagen (The company that makes the Cat It Drinking Fountain) to ask how she could purchase a replacement valve because she didn't want to have to buy a whole new fountain! You know what they did?? They sent one to us free of charge!!! Not only that, but it was here in no time, AND get this... for my (yes, "MY" as in "the cat"!) inconvenience, they also included a whole bag of treats, a coupon, and a whole replacement pack in the parcel!!! I'm not fond of the treats though, so Mom will probably give them to another kitty. Nonetheless, Mom was so satisfied with the service that she will be sending them a pleasant email to thank them for the outstanding service. Seriously, how often does THAT happen!!!
