HAPPY HOLIDAYS EVERYONE!!

So Mom tells me that we're leaving tomorrow afternoon to visit the grandparents. I am NOT very impressed by this, especially since they have a new house, and I am not familiar with it. This is a major kitty turnoff!

Anyway, I will try my best to keep ya's updated during my stay, if I choose to come out from under Mom's bed that is. Until then, happy holidays!

Mom and I had our own little Xmas celebration last night by baking us a ham, and she made some stuffing (bad combination, we know), but I certainly enjoyed the ham!!!! She told me I have to wait until Xmas to get my gift from Santa Claws though.

HAPPY 13th BIRTHDAY TO ME!!!

Although Mom doesn't know my EXACT birth date, she says I am now officially a 13 year old boy!!! That means... I'm a TEENAGER!!! Unfortunately in kitty years, I'm an old man. :(

I have also been sleeping in the "weirdest" places this weekend. Although my condo is still my fave, I usually like sleeping there late at night to avoid having to go sleep with Mom!

Mom used a thing called a "printer" this morning, and I was totally fascinated by it!!! What a cool contraption! (BTW, Mom asked me to mention not to mind the paper mess. It has been cleaned up.. believe it or not!)

So Mom decided to go to the vet yesterday to buy me a whole CASE of canned food. But guess what.... I am now refusing to eat canned food. Mom's not too happy with me right now. She told me if I want to be fussy like that, no more treats for me! Ah oh...

On the flipside (for Mom), I decided that I will go sleep with her on SOME nights. I had to because she was threatening to dismantle my little "condo"!!

Part II

Now I decided that Mom should start waking up on her own as well, so I decided to stop giving her the usual wake up call. Mom NOW thinks it's a full moon. She is also blaming these changes on the condo she "built" for me, and is threatening to dismantle it if I keep neglecting her. She wouldn't dare!!!!

Mom's not happy right now as I have been bluntly refusing to sleep with her these past few nights! Mom thinks I'm trying to be a big boy by wanting to stay up late, but little does she know, I'm trying to tell her she's a big girl now and should start sleeping by herself without having me at her feet. Just doing what I have to do Mom!

Change of heart

So I decided to have a change of heart last night by refusing to go to bed (or at least go sleep with Mom!). She tried & tried, but I would not budge.. So in the end, she told me I'd better not wake her up in the middle of the night for wanting up on the bed. Mom says I look tired this morning and wonders what I was up to, but what a cat does at night is a kitty secret!! I did however give her the usual wake up call this morning though, and was super loveable.

This year, Mom decided to dress me up as a witch. Yes, I'm a boy, and she made me a witch. I prefer to call myself a sorcerer because I'm a BOY!! But she insists on saying she made me a witch nonetheless.

Mom FINALLY took more pics of me. She said she couldn't help it because I was just being way too adorable. That's my job!!!

New toy!!!

Well, Mom's back to classes now, so that means I'm left at home by myself all day again. Mom says it breaks her heart to know I'm not getting the lovin' I deserve, but at least I can sleep in peace without her disturbing my beauty rest by molling me like crazy!

While Mom was away last weekend, my Auntie Linda came to take care of me, and she even bought me a new TOY!!! And bonus, there's catnip in it!! I like to lick it and cuddle with it, and Mom wanted to take a picture, but as usual the batteries in our camera are dead... So she said we'll take pictures another time. :)

Alright...

Well, I decided to cut Mom some slack. I decided that it is ok to cuddle with her again at night. In addition to that, I decided that I should let her know that I'm up and ready to take on another day.... at approx. 6:30 am EVERY morning now!!! Now by this, I mean I walk up to her head (from the foot of our bed), stare at her for a few seconds, meow (to let her know I'm up, the meow a few more times (to ask her to gently get me off the bed). NOW she's telling me she isn't appreciating the wake up call every morning, because she doesn't have to get up for work anymore (since she's working nights this week). Nonetheless, I HAVE to let her know I'm up so she knows that I'm ready for my breakfast!!! Isn't that what she's here for???

That's what you get Mom!!!

I'm a little upset with Mom these past couple nights because she kicked me in her sleep the other night, so I decided to stop cuddling with her until she can prove to me that she will no longer "abuse" me the way she did! I decided that I want to cuddle with my little toy mouse instead, and now she's upset with ME because she's feeling a lack of affection!! Well Mom, can you blame me?? Now to top it off, she's even putting the blame on me for "taking up 1/2 the bed every night!", YET she feels neglected when I'm not cuddled right at her feet?? I don't get it. I think she's jealous of my mouse if you ask me!! ;) Either way, I appreciate her apologies and kisses, but I STILL demand my space from her for a while. She needs to suck it up!

I shocked Mommy today!! hee hee..

Mom's been spending a lot of time at Auntie Linda's lately when she's not working. She told me she has to "rattiesit" like when auntie takes care of me when Mom's away, since Auntie Linda's away right now.

Because Mom's been giving OTHER creatures attention, I feel like I'm lacking some attention right now (because after all, I should be getting ALL Mom's attention!!), so while Mom was in the shower this morning, I decided to walk right on in and lay by the bathtub!! I have NEVER done this before in all 13 years I've been around, but Mom thought it was incredibly funny! Soooo, she picked me up and gave me some kisses and cuddles (like she always does when I do something new and cute). Now THERE'S the attention I was looking for!!!

Sorry there are no pictures, Mom says she was NOT about to take pics of this funny little moment. Don't know why! ;)

Now Mom wonders if I would be capable of doing the same. Although, she said that according to a cat show she watched on tv, they said Persians (like me!) are considered the "dumb blonds" of the cat family!!! Uhhh, whatever THAT means... ;)

Mom! Pleeeeaaaaase turn down the HEAT!!!!!

It has been scorching hot lately!!! I keep trying to hint to Mom to turn down the heat, but she seems to keep putting it UP!!! Of course she tells me she has no control over it, but I don't believe that. After all, in the winter she's always messing around with that thing called "thermostat"!! Luckily, we have fans all over our apartment to help keep me cool, but it's not working very well.

To make matters worse, Mom's gone all day now to a place called "work", so she can't "monitor" me as much as she would like, but I understand it's not her fault. After all, she says she has to go to "work" so she can put crunchies in my bowl, and buy me treats of course. I would NEVER want to run out of either!!! ESPECIALLY my treats!!

She has been staying home on the weekends though, so that makes me really happy. Auntie Linda even came to see me, even if Mom wasn't away!!! How fun!

Anyway, Mom took a couple of pics of me while she was home this morning, so thought I'd post them. They are of me with some water by my side. Just shows how hot this place is!!

Helping with dishes!!

Did I ever mention that I LOVE helping Mom with the dishes?? By this, I mean I LOVE laying at her feet and not wanting to move from my comfy spot on the floor... where MOM STANDS TO DO THE DISHES! Why should I?? I'm the king, and I always decide where to snooze!

Heat & humidity does NOT sit well with me!

All this humidity is making me feel a little queezy. I felt like I was going to be sick yesterday, and I've been laying around the apartment more than usual, so Mom can tell I'm not feeling 100%. She says it's nothing new for me during this time of the year. Mom's been good by keeping fans on in all rooms, and she has been offering me water "by hand" so she can make sure I get the water I need in me. Because I think food is more important than water of course!! Hope this humidity goes away soon!!

Mom took some pics of me in my pyjamas the other night, as well as a few pics of Auntie Linda's little ratties! Although, she soon discovered that rats are not the easiest little critters to pose - especially in comparison to me. haha..

Also, I decided that my cat spa is a cool place to hang after all!!! Auntie Linda and Mom witnessed me playing with it last night, and Mom caught me in the act again today, so now she's happy she bought it for me after all. And I'm a happy boy for being able to brush myself when Mom or Auntie aren't around to do it for me!!

Mom came home and brought me all kinds of goodies!! She brought me my clothes (pyjamas, king outfit, Santa outfit, reindeer antlers, etc.), some toys, AND my cat spa!!! Mom bought my cat spa a few years back for Xmas, but because she told me she paid a LOT for it, I decided that I wanted NOTHING to do with it. Much to Mom's amusement last night, she poured catnip in the brushes, and I decided to enjoy it after all!!! She was so happy because she thought I would start using it on a regular basis, but once again, I decided that I wanted nothing to do with it today. Doesn't she realize that I get sick of toys fast?? Who wants to play when you can do FUN things like sleep and eat!!! Mom will just have to accept that she paid close to $40 for a big chunk of plastic for nothing!! She should have known better and just spent that kind of money on things like TREATS!!!

Anyway, while mom was away this weekend, the best cat-sitter in the whole world (Auntie Linda) came to take care of me, fed me, and gave me lots and lots of kisses and body massages!!! She told Mom that I was chatty with her, but she didn't know what I was trying to say. I was telling her kitty stories of course!! Mom's back now, but Auntie Linda went on a canoeing trip, so Mom's taking care of her little ratties for a few days! Mom just loves them to pieces, even if I'm not so sure I do...

Cousin Bailey!!

Good news!!! Mom found the cord! And she said it was pretty much staring her right in the eyes. Poor Mom, I worry about her sometimes! Anyway, she had to doggy sit for my aunt & uncle last weekend, so she decided to take a couple pics of cousin Bailey! (He's a Labrador Retriever). I don't like him much, just because he likes to sniff, and it scares me... naturally. The last pic is of our family, and Bailey's daddy is standing near the end, next to Mommy!
